Reverse Engineering is a service where we are capturing the design intent of a 3D scanned part. There are many different forms of reverse-engineering it can be as simple as a single non-functional part, or it can be as hard as a large assembly of parts with unknown function. In most cases where we are working on a functional part, communication with our client is critical. It’s not possible to do the job properly without understanding precisely what the component we are given does. In most cases where the client has an engineering team of their own, it’s wise to supply a rough model without any added tolerancing or specifications. We will always suggest the most cost-efficient way for our client to complete the task.
